I was disappointed to learn that Forgive and Forget will not be moving forward. Ty Burrell, best known for his Emmy-winning work on Modern Family, was a perfect choice to play the lead role of Hank. The concept of a life-of-the-party character reconnecting with his responsible son had a lot of potential for both comedy and heart.
Robin Shorr and Eugene Garcia-Cross, both of whom have extensive experience in comedy, appear to be bringing strong creative visions to the project. It’s always difficult when a project with such promising elements fails to air.
Fans of Burrell and the show’s concept will have to look forward to his future projects and hope for more opportunities to see his talents shine on screen.
