SNK has been busy at this year’s Evo, thanks to three separate announcements made during the show. In addition to new characters for two other games, the company also announced the return of SNK Vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos, which can be downloaded today via Steam for PC players and will be available for PS4 and Nintendo Switch on Monday.
The return of SVC Chaos adds several enhancements to the 2003 fighting game, including hitbox indicators and a gallery of artwork for precision training sessions. A suite of multiplayer options buffered by rollback netcode will also be available, with online lobbies accommodating nine players at a time and tournament modes in multiple bracket formats built-in.

The playable character roster includes 36 characters from Capcom and SNK, including well-known fighters such as Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter, Terry and Mai from Hungry Wolf, and Metal Slug (SNK) Deep cut characters like the Martian in ) and Tessa in Red Earth. This new version also unlocks the secret bosses from the arcade version – Athena and the Red Arremer – for use at the start of the game.
SVC Chaos was first introduced in July 2003 as an SNK-supported project in Capcom Vs. SNK Partners. Capcom released two crossover games of its own – Capcom Vs. SNK and Capcom Comparison. SNK 2 – Before the partnership was dissolved.
