Multi-talented award-winning cartoonist Bajun (Wonderboy, Djeliya) will return this March with his dark fantasy anthology series Monkey Meat. The titles of these five issues are: summer batch, will see the return of Ba’s critically acclaimed satirical anthology, which explores issues such as capitalism and climate change – all told in a summer magazine-style issue.
“I need this! Monkey Meat is where I get to have fun, break away from corporate expectations and rules, and come up with cartoons that are cartoony, experimental, and emotive. Hopefully they’re as fun to read as they are to draw,” Juni Ba said in a statement to Image. “This is the comic I’ve received the most requests to continue doing so far, and I’m happy to say yes. This new batch has a more underground feel. Like in the comic, you’d find dust on the floor of a meat restaurant in Senegal, Wrinkled. Dig in!
