Like Hollywood’s big live-action movies, Transformers has been on the small screen with multiple TV shows over the years. although Transformers: Earthspark Season 2 just dropped on Paramount+ in June, and it looks like something brand new is waiting for us.
Earlier this week, animation studio Trigger (best known for Promare, Cyberpunk: Edge Runner, and Delicious food in the dungeon) has revealed that it’s developing something to celebrate the latest benchmark in the popular toy line. Robots in Disguise turns 40 this year, and the brief trailer briefly looked at the famous G1 versions of the iconic designs of series mascots Optimus Prime and Megatron (plus Bumblebee and Hot Rod), as well as Trigger’s take on A reimagining of these mascots. (Interestingly, some eagle-eyed viewers spotted Optimus Prime Transformers Animation!
Transformers and animation have always been tight, but this marks the series’ third foray into a true animated follow-up Transformers: Cybertron 2005, Japan only Transformers go! 2015. Dear Frank, it works on mecha projects Gridman series. Considering the studio’s rich history, it’ll be exciting to see what Trigger does for the series’ birthday, because you know it’s going to look great.
As we wait for more information on this mystery Transformers entrepreneurship, Transformers One Might satisfy your thirst for some excellent animated material from the franchise. The film will be released on September 20th, and you can expect our review closer to release.
