What is Gachikuta?
A battle against conformity, authority and discrimination!
Ludo lives in the slums of a floating town, where the poor eke out a living in the shadow of the rich who live a life of luxury and just throw their trash over the side into the abyss. Then one day, he’s wrongly accused of murder, and his wrongful conviction results in unimaginable punishment – exile to the margins with the rest of the trash. On the surface, humanity’s abandoned waste has spawned evil monsters, and if Ludo wants to discover the truth and get revenge on those who threw him into hell, he must master a new power and join a group known as ” “Cleaners” organization, they fight against the huge garbage beasts in the pit!
“Gachiakuta” was created by manga artist Kei Urana and graffiti artist Hideyoshi Ando. It has been serialized in Kodansha Weekly Shonen Magazine since February 2022 and won the Global Special Award in the Comics Department.

My name is Fumihiko Suganuma and I am the director of the upcoming anime “Gachiakuta”. I will do my best to express the unique spirit and enthusiasm of the manga at about 120%, and create a show that both “Gachiakuta” fans and viewers who are new to the series will enjoy.
