Stephen King has written a new animated horror short film that is expected to be released online in the coming days.
The short film was produced by Dark Corners Films, a series on YouTube made by filmmakers Kate Siegel, chris foxand Mari Elfman.
The YouTube channel has launched “a series of short animated horror films aimed at young children, designed to serve as a fun gateway into the genre.
“Each movie is rated on our 5-pumpkin scale and carefully designed to scare and delight everyone in the family, from preschool to high school.”
King was one of many notable figures involved, as there were also contributions from A Nightmare on Elm Street legend Heather Langenkamp and author Paul Tremblay (Head full of ghosts, The cabin at the end of the world).
We don’t know what Kim’s story will be about, but to give you a little idea, some footage has been released online.
Below you can watch Langenkamp’s story, rated “One Pumpkin,” called “Max and the Messy Monster.”
I also included Tremblay’s “Notes,” which has a chilling story about a game between a boy and his nanny that goes horribly wrong.
The latest release of “Dimple” comes from Kate Siegel. I included that one too.
