It’s been adapted into movies and a miniseries, but King’s iconic novel “Salem’s Lot” will be brought back to life again next month. “Salem’s Story” tells the story of two boys who venture deep into the New England woods, but only one returns. He will then set out to find what lurks in the forest and stop evil from infiltrating his town. Salem’s Lot was King’s second novel, after Carrie, and remains one of the best vampire novels of the past 50 years (it will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year).

For something that will serve as the centerpiece of a collection, you can’t go wrong with a hardcover edition. Priced at $24 (originally $45), the book features a memorable black-and-white cover design and features red and white fonts.
