We’re really looking forward to this, but we’re still excited to see it confirmed. Starfield’s first expansion, Shattered Space, has officially been confirmed with a date, thanks to a new trailer released during Gamescom 2024’s opening night live.
Shattered Space has remained mysterious for most of its life, and it wasn’t until the Xbox Showcase in June that we got our first look at it. Now, we’ll just have to wait a little longer before we can actually play it.

Shattered Space will be available on PC and Xbox Series X/S on September 30th. We know this won’t be the only expansion for Starfield, and we also know a little bit about the background and content of Shattered Space itself.

Shattered Space represents our biggest opportunity yet to delve deeper into the mysterious side of the starry universe while exploring some interesting new environments. We can also do that behind the wheel of the new moon rover, Bethesda revealed the REV-8 through footage of it making some sick jumps to a hip-hop soundtrack.
