Starfield, Bethesda’s first new intellectual property in years, is seeing its universe expand with Shattered Space. The DLC launches today (September 30) and adds a new planet and story campaign to the game. Instead of paying $30 directly for Shattered Space on Steam, you can save nearly 30% on a Steam key by opting for Fanatical’s Premium upgrade, which includes expansion packs and some bonus content.
Based on Starfield, Shattered Space tells an all-new story centered on a new hidden planet, the home world of the Varun family. According to the official description, “Players must solve the mystery surrounding Orochi’s elusive followers and help them restore a fractured society on the verge of collapse. In addition to new handcrafted locations to explore, there are new enemies to for exploration.
Technically, Fanatical is selling Shattered Space at a 15% discount, bringing the expansion’s price down from $30 to $25.49. However, there’s a cheaper way to get Shattered Space in the coming days, along with a bunch of other goodies. Fanatical’s Starfield Premium upgrade is only $21.69, down from $35. The Premium upgrade comes with Shattered Space and additional gameplay content.
In addition to the Shattered Space expansion, you’ll also receive a digital artbook and soundtrack, 1,000 Creation Points (when linked to a Bethesda account), and the Constellation Skin Pack, which includes the Equinox laser rifle, spacesuit, helmet, and booster packs .
But it’s worth noting that you need to own Starfield on Steam to redeem the Premium upgrade or Shattered Space expansion. You can buy Starfield from Fanatical, but there’s no discount here—you’ll pay the full list price of $70. However, you can still buy the premium upgrade at a discount, bringing the total price up to $91.69 instead of the $100 it costs when you opt for Starfield Premium.
If you want to take advantage of Fanatical’s premium upgrade offer, be sure to act quickly. Fanatical is offering the discounted price only until Wednesday, October 2nd at 4pm PT/7pm ET.
