Earlier today, Stardew Valley ($4.99) Creator Eric Barone tweeted about how he developed the mobile and console versions Stardew Valley 1.6 and how he will announce when there is any meaningful update news. If you haven’t caught up yet, read Stardew Valley 1.6 here. Following that tweet, he also posted that he would never charge for updates and DLC. Stardew Valley. He also requested a screenshot of the post (link below) if he violates his oath. Stardew Valley is one of the best-supported games ever, with tons of free updates that go well beyond the usual post-launch support you’d expect, let alone offered for free.
I swear on my family’s honor that I will never charge for DLC or updates as long as I live. If I violate this oath, please take a screenshot and shame me
