Daniel Richtman (aka DanielRPK) posted more Star Wars tidbits on The main character is Cal Kestis. The third and final game is currently in development and will likely be released in 2026/27. Ahsoka may be released in 2026, which means the Cal Kestis series may be released in 2027. In terms of project progress, this is probably the safest option since the disastrous The Acolyte. With a combined sales of over 40 million copies of both Jedi games, Cal Kestis is an extremely popular character, and his companions are equally popular. Lucasfilm could give fans another series set in the OT/Rebels/Andor timeline.
DanielRPK also reported that The Mandalorian will be released in 2026 (I would say there will definitely be a sequel if the movie hits $1 billion at the box office) and that the show will not return to Disney+. But the character would pop up in other projects (the Filoni movie starring Ahsoka, of course).
That’s it for today. Do you want to see the Cal Kestis series? He’s a Jedi, he’s fighting the Empire, and his girlfriend (Survivor) is one of the most beloved female characters, Nightsister Merlin (who was the last one to survive before Ahsoka retold it all Nightsisters), all the actors from the game could and would of course appear in the series, it would be more OT era nostalgia, they could use Darth Vader (who appears in the game) and various other A role in the OT era. So on paper, this does sound like the safest option. Lukasim definitely needs something that can replicate the overnight success that The Mandalorian made on Disney+. Neither Andor nor Ahsoka (let alone the 2024 show) can fill that role.
