I’ve had more aircraft accidents during my time playing Star Wars Outlaws that were definitely my fault, but the good news is that the game’s latest patch sounds like it’ll stop me from causing such a big deal to other people. A dangerous galaxy for road users. It’s just a bit of a shame that my version of Cavis is already doomed to spend a long time on a holophone when her renewal is up.
This update is Ubisoft’s first step in making improvements to Outlaws, and comes as Ubisoft revealed that it will delay the release of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows from November this year to February. Therefore, we hope that its changes will achieve the goal of correcting the issues some people are experiencing in the game.

What are these adjustments, you ask? Well, as outlined in the patch notes, more improvements to stealth and improvements to the way Kai’s speedster works are the headline news. For the former, Ubisoft writes that it “tweaked the overall stealth experience by adjusting AI detection, NPC numbers and their positioning, patrol paths, camera detection, and highlighting environmental opportunities to reduce player friction.”
We then made adjustments to the speed controller, including the space bike’s “response and reaction when called”, the position of its camera when you violently adjust the field of view, and most importantly, when you move like a rogue Everything about how it behaves when it’s slammed into the environment has changed.

Sadly, the latter was too late to repair the damage I had done to Kai’s spine and to insure her craft without having to pay a hefty sum to any of the true outlaws in the galaxy – the ones who paid you Someone who sells the scraps of paper you need. To be fair, this is also a bit Outlaws’ fault, as it kept showing me jumps and cliff falls that seemed doable, assuming I could avoid that rock. Oh, nonsense. Well, at least I have enough bottles of bacta.
Other notable tweaks include fixes for a number of issues, including “players getting stuck in the super jump sequence to Kijimi”, “the ‘take off’ button prompt not showing up after the ‘Shipwreck’ mission”, a speakeasy in Kerro There’s a misbehaving energy barrier inside, and a pair of quest lines with Jet Kordo. Stability and performance should also be better no matter which platform you use.
