This morning the Hasbro Star Wars team kicked off 2025 with a yawn, and their fan stream showcased two Black Series figures from 2025 AhsokaAnakin Skywalker, and Captain Rex.
Anakin is in Ahsoka’s world between worlds, wearing a dodgy wig and all, and armed with a lightsaber. I feel like the press photos really lead me to believe they need to start doing something offbeat for the Jedi. The grip press position looks particularly crappy. That said, this is probably the closest look to Hayden I’ve seen in Hasbro’s Black Series, and I’m happy to have Tom Holland look like he did in the Clone Wars series.
This Rex does remind me of Genndy Tartakofsky from the old Clone Wars comics, toys, and days before the 3D series came out, so that’s cool, but overall, I think I’m a bit cloned. I’m not sure I’ll catch this.
Both figures will be available for pre-order on January 23, 2025 at 1pm ET, retail for $24.99, and will be available in the spring.
