Stanley Kubrick1980’s classic horror film The Shining is the subject of a new documentary called Shine: Forgotten Places to Shine.
The news comes from Indiewire, reporting that the film “has been certified by the Stanley Kubrick Film Archive and the family estate” and is said to “capture the location filming and art direction production process at Elstree Studios Overlook Hotel ”.
Michael Sheen narrates the documentary, “which includes The Shining executive producer Jane HarlanArtistic Director Les Tomkinsand Kubrick’s daughter. Katharina Kubrickwho served as a location researcher for the film.
Participants will share their memories of the production and will revisit iconic studio locations.
The movie was written and directed by Paul King, who said in a statement: “There have been a lot of rumors about some of the set pieces in the movie. The Shining Still exist at Elstree Studios, but actually finding them and walking around them is like discovering the Holy Grail of film history.
Katarina Kubrick added: “The production The Shining It has been well documented and analyzed, but it is a story that has never been told. Key scenes in the movie take place in these areas, so returning to them feels like stepping into the movie itself.
