Spotify is expanding its listening data-generated “daily lists” to more users, so I won’t be the only one playing songs like “Dignified Power Ballads on Wednesday Morning,” “Scream Writers on Monday Nights,” or “Laurel Canyon.” The Niche Songs Guys Classic Ballad Friday Afternoon playlist is here.
The audio streaming company launched personalized, ever-changing playlists in select markets in January, then rolled them out to 65 more markets in March. Now, Spotify is making Daily Lists available to all free and paid premium users – currently in a total of 180 markets.
But the most interesting thing is that the feature will support 14 new languages (previously only English).

Here are the 5 songs of the summer, according to Spotify
According to Spotify’s blog post, the “Daily List” is now available in Arabic, Catalan, French (Canada), French (France), German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese Spanish (Brazil), Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Mexico) and Turkish. The company gives examples of daylists such as “pazartesi sabah etiyopya caz enstrümantal funk” (Ethiopian jazz instrumental funk on Monday morning) and “afrofuturisme funk Moderne du Mercredi après-midi” (modern funk afrofuturistic on Wednesday afternoon ), here are two of my personal favorite playlists sent to me.
“Our product teams worked closely with local music and cultural experts to infuse the spirit of Daily Lists into each language, ensuring the feature resonates with new users around the world,” Spotify’s blog post reads.
You can find your Day List in the Made for You section of the Spotify app or on Spotify’s web browser. The feature changes based on morning, afternoon, and evening conditions, and is generated by AI using your listening data, much like Spotify’s Niche Mixes and AI DJ (which just launched in Spanish).
