Hello. Remember Splitgate? Well, its sequel, split gate 2just announced and expected to launch in 2025.
If you missed the boat on the original a few years ago, this was a pretty big deal at the time, as it was a fun shooter with gameplay that answered pretty much any questions you might have had about what to expect from a Halo game Question and a Portal game fell in love so much that they walked into a bedroom and, uh, hugged.

As detailed in the latest PlayStation blog, Splitgate 2 will launch in 2025 and will build on the original, thanks to a bigger budget and a larger developer roster.
1047 Games CEO Ian Proulx wrote: “We launched the original Splitgate with 20 employees, none of whom had ever made a game. Thanks to passionate players, Splitgate’s early success brought us investment , allowing us to grow our team. I’m proud to work alongside Riot, Ubisoft, and the many other developers responsible for my favorite games, and we’re no longer a handful of college graduates hoping our servers don’t crash again.

This new Splitgate certainly sounds like it will follow the original’s multiplayer shooter blueprint, but Proulx stresses that it’s still fresh, being “built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5, with all-new character models, new maps, New weapons, even new portal walls and portals”.
While there’s no single-player campaign, 1047 Games has hired a writer to build out the Splitgate universe, and their work will be incorporated into the digital Splitgate 2 Legends comic, which you can read via the game’s website and the Splitgate companion app released today.
1047 Games also seemed to tease that we’d be getting more details about the game’s faction-based multiplayer soon.
