Time goes back to 2021, James Harlan and Dave Stewart Debut super giantis a comic series published by Image and Skybound Entertainment that tells the story of three heroic warriors who are tasked with defending Earth from pre-human monsters. It’s been three years since the last issue was released. As the saying goes, good comes to those who wait, and the series will return with issue 5 on September 18, 2024.
Today, Skybound and Image Comics announced plans for variant covers, unveiling covers for issues 5 and 6 ahead of the Eisner Award-nominated series’ return super giant.
Each king-size issue will feature Harren & Stewart’s main cover, an open-order variant cover from a rotating top guest artist, a 1:10 inspiring black and white variant cover from that guest artist, and a 1:25 inspiring black cover with Harren’s white variant cover . Ultramega #5 will also feature a blank sketch cover.
comic legend Mike MiniolA (Hellboy) will serve as the guest artist for the 5th issue and is an Eisner Award-nominated artist Matthias Vergara (end) will appear on the cover of Issue 6, Eisner Award-winning artist Gabriel Hernandez Varta (Phantom Road, Vision) will draw the cover for issue 7, and Lewis LaRosa (boulder) will step into question #8.
