Shueisha The Jump Next Generation Battle Comic Award, a one-time award seeking the next generation of battle comics, was announced on Monday. Shonen Jump. The competition will accept entries from professionals and amateurs from October 1 to January 20. Shonen Jump author Kubo Tite (bleach), Horikoshi Kohei (my hero academia), Tabata Yuki (black clover), and Evil Brother (Jujutsu Kaisen) will serve as the competition judge. Horikoshi provided illustrations for the campaign, which feature the protagonists of the juried series.

The works of the top three winners will be published digitally Weekly Shonen Jump. The top two winners will receive a spot in a special issue of GIGA Magazine. The first place winner will also receive a physical version of the published work Weekly Shonen Jump. In addition, the first, second and third place will receive cash prizes of 1 million yen (approximately US$6,900), 500,000 yen (approximately US$3,400) and 300,000 yen (approximately US$2,000) respectively. The winner’s published book will be recommended by one of the four judges. Honorable mention winners will receive support from the judges.
