A new executive finds his way to Sesame Street.
Sesame Workshop names Joseph Girardi chief operating officer. As chief operating officer, Girardi will oversee the shop’s operational strategy. The non-profit organization behind sesame street Aims to create educational media, initiatives and products across multiple platforms. Girardi will report to Sesame Workshop executive Shirley Westin.

Giraldi joins Sesame Workshop from CJBK Media Group, the consulting firm he co-founded. CJBK Media Group provides strategic planning and partnerships to nonprofits, businesses and startups. Giraldi has worked at IMAX, Time Inc., IBM, Smithsonian Channel and HBO.
