Sega has trademarked the name “Yakuza Wars” in Japan, naturally sparking a flurry of speculation among fans of the publisher’s long-standing support of the famed series, which features just a handful of Yakuza gangsters in smart suits. . I’m talking about Ryu Ga Gotoku’s Like A Dragon series, which, lest we forget, was formerly known as the Yakuza series.
Gematsu found that the trademark in question was filed on July 26, and the trademark listing did not reveal its meaning other than being done by SEGA and related to video games.

Since Sega has yet to announce a game titled or subtitled Yakuza Wars, and Dragon Draw recently teased that fans will be “surprised” by its next game, those of you who may have Majima building hats Speculation has kicked into overdrive.

Imagine commanding Kiryu’s army of thugs against rival gangs in an underworld war, all from the comfort of a toilet seat. You see, this might not be as bad as you first thought.
All that said, it’s probably not wise to just assume that Yakuza Wars is the next RGG game or is connected to the studio in any way, especially considering that the studio has moved on from the current Yakuza series. The word “Yakuza” was removed from the title. In this case, it would be a bit strange to suddenly launch a game with this name.
