KessCo has revealed details of its new Sonic the Hedgehog tabletop game. Sonic Speed Battle, inspired by video games Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, officially authorized by Sega of America. The game is the second Sonic-themed tabletop game from KessCo, which plans to expand its range of licensed Sonic the Hedgehog products.
Sonic Speed Battle includes three rapid-fire card games and features 24 Sonic characters from the series. Two to four players can experience three combat modes, challenging others to test their speed, prepare for a shooting combat showdown, or prove their Emerald Hunt Master skills.
“The demand for another Sonic tabletop game is undeniable, making it difficult for us to sustainSonic Speed BattleIt’s a secret,” said KessCo CEO Alex Kessler. “We’re excited to launch a game inspired by some of our favorite Sonic games, likeSonic Adventure 2. With over 20 characters and three game modes, it’s suitable for Sonic fans and tabletop gaming fans of all ages.
The game will be available in-store and online at Barnes & Noble this summer, with a subsequent release at Target and Amazon.
Following the release of the Sonic-themed card game by Sega and KessCo, the game first appeared on Toy Book.
