Alien: Romulus is a great alien This is a total sci-fi horror movie and I love it for that! I’m really happy with how this movie turned out, it has a killer ending!
I’ve seen this movie twice so far, and I loved hearing the audience gasp at one particular moment near the end of the movie as a twisted alien creature was introduced.
Before we go any further, I have to warn that I do get into some spoiler territory.
This creature is unlike anything we’ve seen in the Alien series, as it’s a half-human, half-alien, half-engineer monster.

Introduced in these prequel films is a dark substance that will enhance humanity and make them more suitable for space colonization.
exist Romulus, Isabella MercedThe character Kai is pregnant and on the verge of death after being attacked by an alien. To save herself and her baby, she injects herself with a back substance and gives birth to the horrific creature in the film’s climax.
In a recent interview with Variety , the director was asked about the similarities to the humanoid alien seen in the 1997 film alien resurrectionand Fede Alvarez explain:
“[My son] I watched all the Alien movies with a friend of his recently, and when the Descendants came out, he said, “It’s like in Resurrection.” I didn’t really process it that way – but it’s true, right It’s this disgusting thing that happens.
He added: “I hope people understand the whole Engineer part of it. The black goo is the root of the whole thing introduced in Prometheus. “It’s the root of all life, especially the xenomorphs, which means It had to be inside them, almost alien semen.
“So we thought, if it affects your DNA, and engineers obviously come from the same source of life, then to me it makes perfect sense [the offspring of a human and a xenomorph] It will look like that.
Elsewhere in the interview, Alvarez acknowledged that the current introduction of the creature may raise more questions than answers.
“It could be a new species because this mixing has never happened before,” he said.
I imagine if a sequel is eventually made, this new species will be explored more. I wouldn’t be surprised if a sequel is made. The film has received a good response and looks like it will do well at the box office. I’m excited to see what the continued development of this series will bring.
