A few months ago, we reported on the actor Rob Lowe Talks are underway with the studio about how to get the group back together st elmo’s fire sequel.
The original film was released in 1985, and nearly 40 years later, many of the actors have gone on to have incredible careers in Hollywood.
Although the young man starring in the film is given the unpleasant nickname of “Brat Pack”, this is also mentioned in this great documentary Brat On Hulu, they continue to have some great roles in TV and movies.
Now, two alumni of the original film, Law and his co-stars Demi Mooreare discussing what a sequel might look like. Lowe continues to star in Kelly Ripa’s Let’s talk through the camera podcast, explaining: “We’re in very frequent contact right now because we’re actively trying to do [the] st elmo’s fire sequel.
He added:
“Things are moving a little slower than I would have liked. But that’s a good thing because we’re trying to find the right writers and the right story. But all the actors, everyone is on board. Everyone is excited.
original Joel Schumacher The film stars Lowe Moore, Andie MacDowell, Andrew McCarthy, Ellie Sheedy, Winningham, Judd Nelson and Emilio Estevez As a group of recent college graduates, they grapple with adulthood as they venture out into the world.
Luo continued:
“I think the current theme st elmo’s fire Today, happiness is never too late. Our kids are out of school, maybe some of us are divorced, maybe someone is sick – all of these are things you deal with when you get to our age, and this is an opportunity to explore that with familiar characters these themes.
“I think as opposed to just a run on money, we should reboot it because people know the title. In fact, I think there’s a lot to be said about why we’re doing it. I’m really excited about it. Hopefully we can succeed.
This sounds like another great movie from the 1980s, Great Coldwhich also has a great ensemble cast (and a great soundtrack), in which a group of college friends reunite and check in on each other after a mutual friend dies. I think a sequel about these guys who are now in their 60s could be a great movie if they find a good story to tell.
Law previously told Entertainment Tonight that the sequel is in the “very early stages” after he “meeted with the studio.” He pointed out that this documentary BratReleased this summer, it only adds to the excitement for the film and potential sequels.
