Prime Video releases new clip and TV spot The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power Season 2.
In the clip, we see Isildur and new character Estrid stop to help a group of travelers who appear to be in need before being ambushed by wildlings. Fortunately, the elven archer Alondil appears to help.
The TV spot features Tom Bombadil and gives us our first look at Ciarán Hinds as the Dark Wizard. The character may end up being Saruman, but it would be a huge change in the lore if it happened.
The play takes place “thousands of years before the events.” JRR Tolkienof hobbit and Lord of the Ringsand will take viewers back to a time where great powers rose, kingdoms rose and fell, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the thinnest thread, and Tolkien’s greatest villains threatening his fate.
