Hello, dear readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade roundup for July 8, 2024. let me see Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD and Internet Citizen Shocker Zero, I like both of them. After that, there’s a new version available to delve into. It’s not the most exciting thing, but some people might be okay with it anyway. Then comes sales. This is how we like to end the article here without disrupting the order of the day. Let’s get the week started!
Comments and mini views
Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD ($59.99)
In case you’re confused by the name, this is a remake of the 2013 Nintendo 3DS game, known in North America as Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon. Not exactly a shocking revelation or anything, but that game was Luigi’s Mansion 2 other places. With that out of the way, the name really does all the work here. This is a Nintendo 3DS game with fancier graphics. There’s no 3D, there’s no second screen, but honestly I don’t think that’s a big deal for this game. More detailed assets, higher resolution, and better lighting and other effects are a fair trade.
At least in my opinion, the second game Luigi’s Mansion The weakest part of the trilogy. It was largely built for a portable experience, so the game revolved more around small tasks and overall had less freedom than before and after. That’s not to say it’s bad or anything. It’s a lot of fun catching ghosts and knocking things over in search of goodies, most of the puzzles are well made, and the bosses are all very interesting set pieces that are fun to solve and beat.
Multiplayer mode is one of the highlights of this game that carries over to the new version. Nintendo 3DS is out now, it’s great to see this fun element Luigi’s Mansion 2 Get on with life. ScareScraper mode really shows off the potential of this type of gameplay, and if you’re a long-time fan of the game looking for a way to keep the good times going, this is it. If this is your first time playing this game, I can only urge you not to ignore the multiplayer.
although Luigi’s Mansion 2 won’t be mine first Choose from Nintendo’s selection of first-party 3DS games to come to Switch, and it’s still a fun game that new players can fully enjoy. It’s nice to see more work done here rather than an admittedly excellent enhancement to the demo, especially considering it’s the full-price version, but this isn’t a game that feels incomplete or in need of any specific additions. I would recommend Luigi’s Mansion 3 in this game, but if you’ve made the most of it and are hungry for more, you’ll find it here.

Cyber Citizen Shockman Zero ($6.99)
Only at the end of all these versions did I discover Internet Citizen Shockman A game that I like very much. The first few games were all very different, each featuring choices that I can only describe as baffling. Not the kind of game you’ll regret renting, but you’ll probably only rent it once, if you know what I mean. but Internet Citizen Shocker Zero? I could see myself renting it a few times. If I was in a good mood, I might even buy it. It doesn’t matter.
The gameplay this time around is more like a single-player beat ’em up game, albeit without a lot of depth. You can play alone or with friends, but you’ll need to play through local multiplayer. It’s all pleasant enough. You run and jump through the levels, punching or mowing down any bad guys along the way, and picking up the score items or health points they drop. You can still perform beam attacks, but most of the time you’ll be up close and personal. The presentation is very “Super Nintendo”, which is good.
Ratalaika does the usual job here, with similar packaging and familiar features and options. The game seems to simulate well, but I can’t say I’ve played the original version of the Satellaview exclusive to make a proper comparison. This version is also fully localized for the first time, which is nice. There isn’t much extra, which isn’t great but is now expected. In this case, there’s nothing new under the sun.
Internet Citizen Shocker Zero is the most orthodox entry in the series, and while some may lament the loss of that quirky feel that was probably the main link connecting the first three games, sometimes you just want a run-of-the-mill generic platformer that won’t Drop any serious balls. That’s more or less what you get here. If you could only choose one game in the series, this would be the one I recommend.

Cubitt Gallery ($9.99)
everyone needs another Picrossstyle game, right? I know people lament that there are so few of them today. Well, there is one more. There are over 120 puzzles to solve, themed around the idea of repainting a mysteriously missing piece of art. Of course, that’s a good enough excuse. Get on the pile with you!

Well, here’s a list. fighting dog. That’s a winner. A great game that you can buy for less than five bucks and feel like you’re playing against someone. This is really the most important thing for me today, but I will do the usual and recommend you check both of these lists.
