The Skeleton Squad is here! Young and Dangerous in space! To say that 2024 is going to be a very difficult year for Star Wars would be putting it mildly… So how will the year of Star Wars end?
I’ll go into further detail in my review, but suffice it to say: this show was much better than expected, and much better than feared. Yes, it’s definitely The Goonies, and the first episode looks nothing like Star Wars, but the most important thing about “Skeleton Crew” is that it hits home: it’s just (innocently) fun And perfect family entertainment for young and old. It’s kind, the creators don’t insult you or waste your time, kids, just kids of course, so it doesn’t have to be Marlon Brando, very charismatic, good, probably the best kid character in Star Wars (not that Star Wars has a good track record here)… despite the criticism, I was pleasantly surprised! I’m looking forward to how this develops! I feel like this is something we desperately needed after the last series on Disney+. Innocent fun and space adventure!
