The anime focuses on a special group of magic users called the Astral, a failed team. Its more gifted members include a witch named Honami, who is first seen chasing a black hellhound on a broomstick along a rainy highway, throwing pins that explode like missiles. In contrast, the “leader” of the team, a boy named Goi, seems hopelessly beyond his capabilities as he is pulled along by the Shinto cult Shina rope Angry dog on leash. It’s no surprise when the creature is destroyed by a hostile magic user, Adeleshia, a girl from Goetian society.
