What you need to know:
- As the original TV animation “Train to the End of the World” premieres on April 1, it is revealed that Rei Nakajima, the singer of the animation’s opening song “GA-TAN GO-TON”, will release a single in May 29th.
- “Train to the End of the World” is the latest original animation from director Tsutomu Mizushima, known for hits such as “Shirobako” and “Girls und Panzer.” Since it is an original animation without any material, fans can’t wait to see how this unknown journey of a unique intersection of “apocalypse × train × friendship” unfolds.
- Rei Nakajima has released a music video clip of the opening theme song “GA-TAN GO-TON” on YouTube. The song allows her soft, clear, pure voice to shine alongside a gimmick-filled melody. When you listen to it, you can’t help but start swaying back and forth, and Nakajima’s dancing includes an adorable dance as if she’s hanging on a strap on a train, making it a must-see video. The CD of the title track will also include two additional songs. “Karappo no Tsuki” shows a new side of Nakajima. The depth and maturity of her voice on the song is something we’ve never heard before, and it will steal your heart instantly. Then there is “Egao no Hana”, which she wrote her own lyrics. Unlike “Karappo no Tsuki”, this is a warm samba song that will naturally make people smile. She sings about being nothing more than a bud, but over time, she slowly blossoms into a flower. As the song comes to a close, the piece transitions into a large chorus section, giving it a dramatic feel.
- The limited edition includes a Blu-ray disc containing the complete version of Nakajima’s “GA-TAN GO-TON” music video. True to the song title, which translates to “Clickety-Clack,” Nakajima is surrounded by various trains while trying out a new dance. The location of this music video is eye-catching and the world view is somewhat mysterious, making it worth watching. On top of that, you’ll also get behind-the-scenes footage from the music video and exclusive footage from her birthday event last November. At the birthday event, Nakajima, who knew nothing about cooking, challenged himself to make curry in the section “Can Rei Nakajima cook?” With this deluxe Blu-ray edition, you can see all sides of Rei Nakajima – from what she does behind the scenes to everything she does in the kitchen!
- The newly released CD cover is the same as the previously released artist photo, featuring a train popping up on a railway made of giant roller stamps, surrounded by colorful balls. This single takes you on a journey of discovery and experiences different facets of Rei Nakajima. We hope you will receive a copy.
