As plans begin to take shape for Children’s India 2025, Toy Fair India has announced Tanu Ailawadi as its new general manager. After more than ten years of successful development, Airavadi will continue to explore the Indian toy market and deliver new innovative products to children around the world.
Alavadi is no stranger to Spielwarenmesse eG. A former project manager, Ailawadi has been organizing the India Children’s Show since its inception in 2013. With an understanding of business operations and a well-established network in various markets, Ayravadi plans to integrate the Indian market into the Western toy market.
With my extensive knowledge of the Indian toy market and my personal connections with key players and decision-makers, I aim to continue leading Kids India forward and secure the company’s position in the Indian market.
India Toy Fair 2024 concluded just a few months ago, but plans are already underway for next year’s Mumbai Toy Fair under Airavadi’s guidance. India has the world’s largest market for children under 14 years of age, accounting for more than 25% of the population, and plays a vital role in the growth and expansion of the toy industry. Subsequently, Toy Fair India Kids has become a global market for toy manufacturers and professionals to expand their influence through creative new ideas.
Last year’s show was an incredible success, attracting more than 5,000 trade visitors from more than 30 different countries to the Global Toy Show. The New Startup Pavilion, added this year, showcases products that are less than five years old and has proven to be an effective strategy to support the country’s growing number of young and innovative toy companies. Next year’s event will once again include the pavilion, giving a new generation of products the opportunity to be in the global spotlight.
For those who want to know more about the Indian product market, Toy Professionals will host a panel discussion at Spielwarenmesse on February 1 to discuss market entry strategies and India’s potential as a toy production base for the future. Following the panel discussion, panelists invited attendees to an informal gathering with Ailawadi, allowing industry leaders to meet and exchange ideas with Kids India’s newest MD.
The India Children’s Exhibition 2025 will be held from October 6 to 8 at the Bombay Exhibition Center, Mumbai. To reserve a booth, exhibitors can visit the Kids India website.
