
2000 advertising publishers Rebellion Already announced Great Sword Swordoriginal graphic novel by German creators Andreas Butzbach. The 96-page hardcover book, which contains a robot wandering in the wasteland, will be available on November 4. The pre-ordered book is open and the book is expected to be retailed for £16.99 (UK) / $24.00 (US).
According to the rebellion press release:

Great Sword Swordand other works by writer and artist Andreas Butzbach, first published in the German Independent Excerpt Fantasy 3000 (Weissblech comics) October 2023. The hardcover English version will collect the entire story Fantasy 3000with a bonus on the page 2000 AD Before the release in November.

Speaking about the project, Butzbach said that it appeared early in the Covid Lockdown:
“I’ve seen a lot of zombie movies, so I know I’ll stay for a long time. I want to make the most of my time. I grabbed a pencil and an empty sketchbook and started drawing the full comic page. The plan was to fill in the comic page. There were no scans or adjustments.

Interestingly, the announcement Great Sword Sword It’s a continuation of the British retro sci-fi series months after announcing another original graphic novel by Rebellion Trigan Empire go through Michael Carroll and Tom Foster. While it may be early days, it may suggest that the rebellion may be testing the waters to expand the lineup of its excellent anthology of graphic novel architecture. 2000 AD or Judge Dred Megazine.
