Rebecca Ferguson Upcoming movie adaptation Enid Blyton’s The beloved fantasy book series distant magic tree. Ferguson joins previous cast Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy.
distant magic tree Telling the story of Polly (Foy) and Tim (Garfield) and their children Beth, Joe and Fran, “a modern family finds themselves forced to move to the remote English countryside.
“Soon after the family arrives in the countryside, the children discover a magical tree and its extraordinary and eccentric inhabitants, including the treasured characters Moonface, Silky, Lady Vasalot and the Pan Man.
“At the top of the tree, they are transported to a spectacular and dreamy land, and through the joys and challenges of adventure, the family learns to reconnect and value each other for the first time in years.”
Ferguson will play Mrs. Spae, the terrifying headmistress character in the story. Ferguson has some experience playing nightmarish characters, having played Rose in the Hat, who was evil in Doctor Sleep.

Other cost members include Nicola Coughlan, Nonso Anozzi, Jessica Gunning, Dustin Demry Jones, Mark Shipp, oliver cleese, Lenny Henry, Simon Russell Bill, Michael Palin, Jennifer Sanders, Hiran Abesekera and Pippa Bennett Warner.
Newcomer Delilah Bennett Cady, billie gadsden and Phoenix Laroche Play the Thompson kids.
The script is written by Simon Farnaby (Wonka, Paddington 2).
Ferguson’s next step will be to Peaky Blinders Opposite the movie Cillian Murphy, mercy and Chris Prattand Kathleen BigelowUpcoming Netflix Movies. Season 2 of her apple series siloscheduled to premiere on November 15th.
