    Movie review:

    • John Chad: A lot of people died because of you. Now it’s your turn.

“Raw Deal” is directed by John Irving and written by Luciano Vincenzoni, Sergio Donati, Gary DeWall, and Norman Wexler. The series stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Katherine Harold, Sam Wanamaker, Paul Schenauer, Robert Davi and Ed Lauter.

When the FBI director’s son is murdered by the Chicago Mafia, a former FBI agent who becomes the small-town sheriff agrees to help the FBI director infiltrate the Chicago Mafia.

A bit like one of Schwarzenegger’s forgotten vehicles, this is certainly one of the smaller highlights of his ’80s work, but has enough muscle and insane machismo to make it a fun time to watch. Arnie’s script contains some iconic phrases, and director John Irving (Hamburger Hill) delivers some thrilling action scenes. On the supporting front, it’s no surprise that David once again exudes his evil scumbag charm.

Nothing really, Arnie’s performance was entirely dressage, so any expectation of believability was utterly ridiculous. So suspend your disbelief and enjoy the ride. 6/10
