Indiana Jones and Great Circle developer MachineGames, with the help of Geoff Keighly, are finally giving the people what they want: a treasure trove of information released as part of Gamescom’s opening night live! In addition to the new trailer, there was also the reveal of a release date for PC and Xbox, the news that the game will be playable on Game Pass on day one, and – the wild card – the reveal that Indy’s upcoming adventure will be the next The first Xbox game to come to PlayStation (finally).
Narrated by Troy Baker, who dons Harrison Ford’s classic fedora, the trailer features plenty of puzzle solving, shootouts, hand-to-hand brawls and rope swings. Audiences around the world are finally able to see what playing the game actually looks like.

In addition to all of this action, we see Mr. Jones taking notes in his journal, taking photos of his surroundings to gain more information, and capturing various small details in the environment. His trusty whip seems particularly useful, both for navigating the environment and snatching guns away from Nazis.
A special piece of gameplay was also shown off before Gamescom, with Indy and company exploring the interior of the Finks. In this clip, we see him navigate hidden ruins, finding a route past deadly spike traps, and a light-reflection puzzle that unlocks treasure deep within. Typical Indiana Jones stuff!
We also get some extra gameplay, with Indy disguised as infiltrating a Nazi tent and snatching an ancient key, while unsuspecting enemies nearby have no idea. It seems that the Great Circle will offer you the opportunity to venture out loudly or subtly. We also got a glimpse of the adventure points earned, which the developer told press during a pre-Gamescom presentation that will be used to level up and unlock various abilities as you play.
The trailer also comes with some pretty exciting unexpected news. First up is the specific release date of December 9th, the day Indy’s latest adventure will be available on PC, Xbox, and Game Pass. However, this is confirmation of the launch of the PlayStation 5 – planned for spring 2025 after a brief period of exclusivity from Microsoft – and while we’ve heard rumors recently that it could be released soon, we don’t necessarily expect to see it tonight to it.
