The Dead: Day One was a box office success, and if you want to take this sci-fi thriller home with you, the upcoming Blu-ray version is now available for pre-order. As with most major releases, you can choose between the A Quiet Place: Day One Steelbook Blu-ray or the regular version, and for special editions, Walmart offers its own steelbook version slightly Not the same as on Amazon. Walmart writes “Keep Quiet, Stay Alive” on the cover of its Blu-ray steelbook, and who knows, that extra touch might make the book even more collectible.
If you haven’t seen it yet, The Dead: Day One shows the exact moment a group of nearly unkillable aliens crash-land on Earth and wreak havoc on the planet. The alien invaders are ferocious and nearly unstoppable, and the only way to survive is complete silence, as the alien invaders have keen hearing to make up for their lack of sight. The film stars Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Queen and Djimon Hounsou. The real star of the show is obviously Frodo the Cat, played by two feline actors named Nico and Schnitzel.
Special features on the Blu-ray have yet to be announced, but as with other releases, there will likely be behind-the-scenes documentaries, featurettes and a range of promotional material on the disc. 4K Blu-ray also comes with standard Blu-ray discs and digital versions of the movies available for streaming.
Several other Blu-ray releases are now available for pre-order, including War for the Planet of the Apes, Despicable Me 4, and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy 20th Anniversary Edition. Yes, it’s been that long since Jack Black kicked Baxter off a bridge.
