Black Myth: Wukong There are several ways for you to level up your character, including improving skills, upgrading armor, and crafting new weapons. But that’s not the case. Eventually, you will unlock an NPC named Xu Dog, who will make elixirs for you that can increase health, defense, endurance, and resistance to various four-disaster effects. To do this, though, you’ll need to collect a bunch of Psychic Cores. This is one of the most efficient ways to collect them.
There are a number of enemies that are guaranteed to drop a Psychic Core in one go, and you can also find this material in treasure chests on a regular basis. However, if you want to buy all the elixirs from Xu Dog, you’ll have to do some grinding (or play the game on it) new games plus repeatedly).
Luckily, there’s a great Psychic Core grind point late in the game – though you should be prepared to spend a lot of time working on it, as the drop rate is very low. Let’s look at the Valley Entrance Mind Core Farm Point.
Valley Entrance Mind Core Agricultural Area
To start farming for the Psychic Core, you need to use the shrine to fast travel to Flame Mountain > Crucible Valley > Valley Entrance. There are two enemies near this shrine, which have a small chance of dropping Psychic Cores (while also providing decent experience and willpower as an added benefit).

When you reach the Valley Entrance Shrine, you’ll follow the straight path ahead to find two shield-wielding enemies. There will be some rock enemies on your way there that will try to fight you, it’s up to you whether you want to fight them or just run over and leave them in the dust.
As you move through the area, the first shield-wielding enemy will appear in your path, while another can be seen in front of him. Your goal is to defeat them as quickly as possible, so use Roots when possible, then launch a powerful smash attack from behind to (hopefully) take them out in one hit.
Afterwards, use your Incense Trail Amulet to return to the shrine and repeat the process. Of course, we hope some of these runs will result in shiny new Mind Cores. This will be a slow process, so don’t get discouraged if you don’t score on several attempts in a row. You will get them eventually! Then it’s Xu Gou’s turn to cash them in for various benefits.
