An apparent bug caused the game art background on some people’s PlayStation 5 dashboards to be replaced with promotional messages and news posts on Monday. The images they saw featured long-overdue discount promotions and ads for new games.
People lamented the change on forums and social media, saying the game art that used to appear when highlighting games has disappeared. A technical bug with the official news feature on PS5 consoles has now been resolved. There’s no change to how gaming news is displayed on PS5.
