The PlayStation 30th Anniversary bundles look so retro, so it’s a shame when pre-orders for them all sold out in the blink of an eye Confusing online queue process. Luckily, an unexpected update to the PlayStation Direct store page suggests that Sony is getting additional stock, and fans can check out Starting October 29th.

It’s unclear if this is additional inventory being allocated to meet demand, or if it was something Sony had always planned to do to give fans multiple attempts to get their dream retro-style PS5. Of course, this also provides another opportunity for potential scalpers to resell everything on eBay. That’s what happened when the last hardware pre-order sold out for the first time late last month. Even now, some resellers are selling the 30th Anniversary PS5 slim for hundreds of dollars more than the standard asking price.
From what we know, the second round of orders will sell out just as fast as the first. At least in the US, there’s no real process for throttling users before they try to queue, Not revealed like in Japan Fans must have played several hours on their consoles over the past decade to be eligible to order any 30th anniversary merchandise.
PS1-style consoles and controllers, including the rather nifty-looking PS Portal, won’t be officially released until November 21st.
