Meanwhile, the $100 price cut on Series 9 watches is welcome, and we’ll likely see them phased out after this fall’s shopping season, so now is a good time to pick one up.

Launched just over a year ago, the Series 9 hasn’t aged well. It has the same battery life as the Series 10, at 18 hours, and has many of the same fitness features. While the new Apple Watch has a slightly larger display and a sleep apnea sensor, you can save $100 on the Series 9 because it’s an “old” Apple Watch. Both watches have the same 2,000 nits of maximum brightness, which Mashable senior editor Stan Schroeder says is one of the best reasons to buy this watch. Overall, if you’ve never bought into the Apple Watch ecosystem and want to save some cash, the Series 9 deal is a steal.
