Honestly, why not write a book Kieron Gillen (Evil + god, go to deathcoming soon we call them giants) and Caspar Weingard (Everyone objects to pilot who goes home sick) was a hit even before it came out. These are the best two of them, and Power Fantasy #1 looks great, as you can see from the preview below.
As a result, Image Comics tells us that the book sold out at publisher level ahead of its debut yesterday, and has been rushed back into print this week “to keep up with the relentless reorder campaign.”
“We’ve been working hard to make this as good as possible. Looking for how the market is reacting to this? It’s exciting,” Guillen said in a statement. “We can’t wait to get it into the hands of as many people as possible. It’s an explosive book, so it’s great to see it explode like this.
How popular is this book? The story tells a world where six “superpowers” each possess the power of nuclear weapons, and the fate of the world depends on them not quarreling.

The PR for this announcement contained many words of praise for the book. There are really too many to quote, but the folks at Beat loved it too!
Gillen’s world-building is subtle and alluring. There are a few breadcrumbs scattered throughout this book to make you want to know more about the world, but everything you need to know in order to figure it out is here. It comes as a single question, but there’s a lot listed in the first question, you’ll have to read more.
