The full version brings three new levels to Thronefall: Moorweg, Freifort and Totend, which include new enemies and boss fights. This means the strategy game now has 10 levels, and according to Grizzly Games, the campaign will take between eight and 12 hours for most players. This update also provides new equipment and quality of life improvements.
In addition to the campaign, Thronefall also offers a roguelike mode. In the game, players build bases and armies during the day, then fight against hordes of enemies when night falls. Grizzly points out that players can also participate in the conflict themselves if they wish. Successfully surviving the darkness and bad guys gives you the ability to pick up new weapons and perks.
Prior to Thronefall, Grizzly worked on Superflight and Islanders. The latter surprisingly launched on Switch alongside Axiom Verge 2 in 2021 after a livestream at Nintendo Indie World.
