The contest characters (pop) will bring the industry together at the 25th Annual Toy Fair Pop event on March 3. The event will be held at Connolly’s Pub in Manhattan, which will unite toy and game professionals for networking, celebrations and philanthropy. Ticket sales benefit from the Young Inventors Challenge (YIC) of POP, which inspires and empowers young toy and game innovators.
Tickets for the event are $20, and the symbolic price reflects YIC’s 20th anniversary. The challenge is held every November as part of the pandemic week. Children aged 6 to 18 cultivate their ideas through guidance, feedback and competition, and develop their ideas in creativity, confidence and real-world development skills. Community members with FOMO are encouraged to donate.
“Popular bar events have been bringing the entire industry together, and this year we are excited to be able to use that energy to support our young inventors,” said Mary Couzin, senior vice president and founder/gaming man at the Toys Association. “Whether you are celebrating with us in person or being able to donate to your cause, your contribution helps inspire the imagination of the next generation of creators.”
Pop Pub will be held at 6pm on March 3 at Connolly’s bar, with tickets at 121 W 45th St. for $20. Buy tickets online in advance at chitag.com/industry-get-togethers.
