Justice, a hairdresser still grieving after her boyfriend was murdered, writes poetry to ease the pain of his loss. Unable to travel to Oakland for the meeting because her car broke down, Justice hitchhiked with her friend Iesha and Iesha’s postal worker boyfriend, Chicago. Along for the ride is fellow Chicagoan Lucky, with whom Justice grows close after some initial problems. But is she ready to open up again?
