August’s game lineup has been revealed, which is great news for PlayStation Plus owners who like the wild side. These include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Wild at Heart, and Cult of the Lamb. Players who subscribe to PlayStation Plus Extra will be able to download these games for free starting August 20th.
For those who spend more and have a premium subscription, more classics have been added to the catalog. These include TimeSplitters 1 and 2, two truly great FPS games that are well worth playing again if you haven’t played them in a while. And “TimeSplitters: Future Perfect,” which is solidOK.

As for those major upcoming games, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is clearly a great game, filled with great narrative content and great combat. Gwent is in there too, you know, which I guess is good. No matter how you slice it, you’ll get over 100 hours of high-quality, exciting RPG gameplay.
Wild Hearts is a Koei Tecmo game that’s very much a spin on the Monster Hunter format, but it’s now in a bit of a weird situation. Sure, it’s good, but it lacks a bit of the punch and legendary feel that its main rivals possess. It’s still worth playing, and with the low cost of free, you don’t have many reasons not to try it.
Cult of the Lamb is also great, a darkly humorous, challenging rogue-like that’s a real highlight of 2022. Found a cult and plunge into Eldridge’s horrors – what more could you want?
A series of smaller games will also be released to PlayStation owners this month, including:
- Ride 5 (PS5)
- Watch Dogs 2 (PS4)
- Sword Art Online: The Last Memories (PS4, PS5)
- Naruto to Boruto: Ninja Striker (PS4)
- Sword Art Online: Alicia Lycoris (PS4)
- Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet (PS4)
- Sword Art Online: Void Realization (PS4)
- Vacation Simulator (PSVR2)
- Sword Art Online: Lost Song (Ps4)
All in all, a nice spread! Let us know below if you’ll be buying this month’s PlayStation Plus range!
