Pixelcraft Studios has announced the launch of Geist, a new Ethereum layer 3 gaming blockchain developed with support from Arbitrum Orbit, Base and Alchemy.
Geist aims to solve key challenges in the blockchain gaming industry, such as bots, multiple accounting, and ineffective reward distribution.
Through its unique membership model, Geist seeks to ensure that rewards are allocated exclusively to legitimate users, thereby improving the gaming experience within the Aavegotchi ecosystem.

Geist, originally called “Gotchichain” during development, is an Ethereum layer 3 gaming chain designed to support gaming applications and provide features that meet the unique needs of the web3 gaming community.
Geist stands out with its members-only model, which limits access to the rewards program to invited users. The model is designed to prevent the exploitation of bots and multiple accounts, which are common challenges in open blockchain networks. In addition to its exclusive membership, Geist is integrated into the Aavegotchi ecosystem, serving as the primary blockchain for Aavegotchi-related games and applications.
Geist is powered by the Arbitrum rollup stack and powered by Alchemy, providing a robust infrastructure and developer tools such as APIs and Webhooks. The platform also features an on-chain NFT marketplace – Aavegotchi Baazaar – that supports royalty payments.
Geist further provides easy access to $ETH and $GHST through Coinbase integration, as well as advanced trading features such as account abstraction and gas-less relays.
The Polter testnet will be launched ahead of the mainnet to thoroughly test the functionality of the platform and prepare members for the full launch of Geist.

During the initial launch phase, invitations will primarily be sent to Aavegotchi NFT holders, with each invitation providing access to the platform’s rewards program, including airdrops, giveaways, and special events.
To become a member, invited users must accept the invitation and complete the necessary steps to activate their membership.
For non-Aavegotchi NFT holders, additional opportunities will be provided to apply for membership. Interested users can register on the Geist website and mint commemorative NFTs on Arbitrum or Base. However, membership is intentionally limited and only a small number of applicants will be accepted.
