After its world premiere at Fantastic Fest in September 2023, the horror comedy has received a 92% score from 25 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, but no release date has been set yet.
The reboot also stars Jacob Tremblay, Tyler Page, Elijah Wood and Kevin Bacon.
Earlier this year, it was also announced that Matt Bors and Fred Harper were teaming up for a new film Toxic Avenger Comics from independent publisher AHOY Comics. The first of a five-issue comic series will be published on October 9.
