There are reports that Rob PattinsonThe Batman may appear in batman Spin-off series PenguinBut that’s not the case, according to the show’s creators, who explained why the decision was made.

Interviews with SFX Magazine, series producers and writers Lauren LeFrank Explaining: “I understand why people are eager to have Batman, or think that unless Batman is in a TV show or movie, it won’t have the same impact.

LeFranc continued: “To me, I think it has a different impact. Matt’s movie is through the lens of Batman, so you’re looking down at the city from up high. It’s a different perspective.

“Like Oz, you’re on the streets of the city, in the gravel, silt and dirt. He’s looking up, trying to get to the top of the mountain.

Reeves went on to say that Batman wasn’t missing anything fundamental by not appearing in Penguin, saying the show was “an extension of the fundamentals.” We know this is Batman’s world.

He added: “You’re going the other way. So the ghost of Batman is there. The ghost of the Riddler is there. The ghost of everything that happened in the last movie is there. It informs it. That’s exactly what it is. Where we started.

PenguinShowrunners also noted that the show is “a different experience.” I think Gotham is an interesting enough city that it deserves to open more doors and let us walk through those doors and see what we think.

Yes, I can buy all of them. You don’t need Batman to make the story exciting or interesting, you just need a great story and script from Penguin, and it looks like they succeeded in doing that.

Colin Farrell Reprise your role as Oswald Cobb, who is taking action to take control of Gotham’s criminal syndicate. The trailer gives an exciting look at what the show is going to be like, and it looks like it’s going to be a great crime series!

The eight-episode Penguin series has been described as “scarfaceThe “similar” series will see the rise of villains in Gotham City’s underworld. It was also confirmed that the series will lead directly to the event Batman: Part 2.

“I think HBO will have eight parts centered around the rise of Oz, filling the power vacuum that was created after Falcone was killed,” Farrell previously said of the film. [Reeves]The original idea was to have the Penguin show start about a week after the Batman movie ended.

“Then, if it works, if the trajectory is interesting enough, if the audience is willing to do it, and we’re doing a good job, then make a second movie – a Penguin feature in the second movie and pick up where the HBO show left off .

He said in another interview: “It was dark, that’s all I can tell you. It was really dark and really heavy, and I thought, that’s what it must have done.

Talking about the story, he said: “It’s about a man rising to a place where he has always dreamed of living, which is a specific power or social status. The death of Carmine Falcone at the end of the film leaves his brother with There was a vacuum in Tan that needed to be filled.

“So there are all kinds of people vying for this power, and that’s Oswald’s journey, trying to get to the top through extraordinary obstacles, and it’s super dark. Lauren LeFranc wrote a very twisted one ’s eight-hour TV series.

series star Cristin MiliotiPlaying the heroine Sofia Falcone, Renzi Felizhe plays a teenager who Penguin befriends and becomes his driver. The rest of the cast includes Michael Kelly (house of cards, Jack Ryan), Shohre Agdaslu (vastness, House of Sand and Mist) and Deirdre O’Connell (outer scope) has joined the DC series.

The show is scheduled to premiere on September 19th.
