Pedro Almodovar is the next winner of Lincoln Center’s prestigious Chaplin Award for Film.
The Oscar-winning writer-director will host an event at Lincoln Center on April 28, 2025, featuring excerpts from his work and appearances by co-stars, friends and colleagues.
The announcement comes ahead of the U.S. premiere of Almodovar’s first English-language feature and a New York Film Festival centerpiece gala screening next door roomstarring Julianne Moore and Tilda Swinton.
next door room The film, which won the Golden Lion at this year’s Venice Film Festival, is scheduled to be released in Los Angeles and New York on December 20, then expanded to select cities on December 25 and released nationwide in January.
Almodovar is one of Spain’s best-known filmmakers, his feature films include woman on the verge of nervous breakdown (1988); Tie me up! Tie me down!
