The wait is almost over! The day of the jackal is coming! The new official trailer has just been released and we couldn’t be more excited!

Season 4 of Slow Horse just ended, and we won’t have to wait too long for something to fill the void.

It’s clear from the trailer that the series is going to be a thrilling thrill ride, but are your expectations for such a classic story any less?

    (Peacock)

A classic story reimagined for today’s world

The Day of the Jackal is based on Frederick Forsyth’s 1971 best-selling novel, which was adapted into the iconic 1973 film starring Edward Foxx.

However, Peacock’s approach is more than just repetition. This edition updates the action for today’s chaotic geopolitical landscape.

Eddie Redman (The Monsters and Where to Find Them series) stars as Jackal, an elusive yet deadly master assassin.

But his opponent is Bianca, a determined British intelligence officer played by Lashana Lynch who is in hot pursuit, even though her superiors believe her pursuit is in vain.

A high-stakes game is playing out across Europe, a deadly dance of cat and mouse where every step is fraught with danger and the tension never lets up.

    (Peacock)

If the trailers are any indication, these two will leave a trail of chaos in their wake, just like any great spy thriller.

Redmayne and Lynch are joined by a strong supporting cast, including Ursula Curbero (Money Heist), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) and Richard Dorsey Mo (“Toughness”), each adds their own style to this thrilling action film.

The first five episodes will be available online on November 14, allowing fans to dive right in. This is sure to be a feast worth feasting on!

Thereafter, weekly episodes will continue to provide suspense until the double-episode finale on December 12.

Check out the trailer below and get ready – Day of the Jackal is going to be a wild ride!
