Paramount Pictures has acquired script for erotic thriller excessive questioning, hollywood reporter confirmed.
The studio acquired the synopsis script from Caroline Dries amid what was described as a high level of competition (batwoman). The film’s story focuses on the horrific consequences of a chance encounter between a seemingly perfect couple and a powerful female lawyer.
Karen Rosenfelt serves as producer on the project, which has yet to name a director.
Dries serves as showrunner for the CW series batwoman and serves as executive producer the Vampire Diaries. Her other television credits include smallvillee. melrose place, arrow and Gotham Knights.
Rosenfeldt is credited as an executive producer on the first installment twilight film and served as a producer on subsequent films in the series. She has also photographed films such as The Devil Wears Prada, marley and me, me before you and new mutants. Rosenfeldt’s television credits include serving as executive producer on: The summer when I became beautiful and coma disease.
It’s a busy week for Paramount, as the studio is set to be acquired by a consortium led by Skydance. Also released this week is the first trailer for the studio’s upcoming historical epic Gladiator II Directed by director Ridley Scott, starring Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Denzo Washington, and Joseph Quinn.
The sequel to Scott’s 2000 Oscar-winning film Gladiator The show, starring Russell Crowe, will be released on November 22 and will be the studio’s fall slate.
