Parallel Studios, the developer behind Sci-Fi card game Parallel TCG, has officially announced its latest project Sanctuary, a third-person extractor shooter formerly known as the Tau Ceti project.
While the trailer does not contain game video, it establishes the atmosphere of the game, showing a lonely soldier cleaning up supplies and staring into the sky, possibly suggesting the theme of survival and escape. The game’s focus on resource extraction and combat suggests that players will have to develop strategies for how to collect valuable material while potentially dangerous encounters.
In addition to this announcement, the studio also confirmed that Parallel TCG will be available on mobile devices soon.

What is a sanctuary?
Originally developed under the code-named project Tau Ceti as an accompanying project, Sanctuary has evolved into the main focus of Parallel Studios.
It is designed as an extracted shooting game, combining PVE and PVP battles, where players will explore dangerous environments and collect materials that can be used to upgrade equipment or trade in the gaming ecosystem.
The game will be powered by Echelon Prime, which integrates into a wider parallel universe and will run on a B3 blockchain built on the basic network. Unlike Parallel TCG, a strategic card game, Sanctuary will provide an action-oriented experience.

What do we expect from the game?
The trailer of the film shows a glimpse of the shelter’s environment and themes, depicting a soldier sailing on a barren battlefield, clearing crates for supplies, looking very sky-high. Although the camera does not confirm the game mechanics, it is consistent with the core premise of the game’s survival and resource extraction.
Early videos starting in September 2024 hint at predation mechanics and the potential for PVE and PVP participation. Players may need to balance collecting resources with people who avoid or face to face with opponents in disputed areas. The dynamics of risk-rewarding suggest that extraction will play a crucial role in gameplay, as players must decide when to leave or stay longer in order to get a greater reward.
In addition to shelter, Parallel Studios has also announced updates to Parallel TCG, including upcoming mobile devices. Pre-registration for iOS and Android users is currently turned on.
With no official release date confirming the sanctuary, more details on gameplay and blockchain integration are expected in the coming months.
